Jed's 1st Grade Field Day

March 25th was a big day all around. It was the last school day before spring break; it was Jed's school's Field Day; Jed was testing for his next karate rank that night; and Roger was returning home to us after two very long months. Oh, and Kit had a play date with Ellie that evening too (making Jed's karate test more bearable for me!).

So, we're starting off with the Field Day. Earlier in the week, I went in to assist Jed's class with making their tie-dye t-shirts for Field Day. As it turns out, they were the ONLY class that did this...so, it really made a statement. The kids really enjoyed it too. Here are some photos of Jed and his class as they began their Field Day events...
And, I REALLY love this photo...the expression of joy on his face is so pure...looks like he's having so much fun!
And, then there was the sack race...
And, our handsome boy...
All of the kids did well, though I have to admit, it was bloody hot out there on that field with NO shade...ugh! But, what fabulous shirts they had, right??!
