Mini Kicks Karate

Because we simply cannot sit still and since t-ball has ended for the fall, we signed the boys up for karate. The local joint offers a mini kicks program for children ages 4-6. While Kit isn't quite 4 yet, they said he could give it a try.

For just $19.95 per child, they offered a uniform, an individual lesson, and a group lesson to see 1) if the child likes it and 2) if they are ready for it. So, last Tuesday night, we got the uniforms and the individual lesson.

Jed really enjoyed it. I think Kit did too, but he didn't have a nap that day, and by the time we were leaving, he was getting cranky. And, when we got home, he was half undressed and almost all the way to cracking a sh***y. So, unfortunately, while they were absolutely adorable during their lesson in their uniforms, only Jed would pose for me in it when we got home. (I forgot to take my camera with me!)

So, here's Jed in his mini kicks uniform.
We'll be going this Tuesday evening for the group lesson and to find out if they think the boys are ready. My fear is that they'll think Kit is too young (he's a little antsy), but even if that's the case, Jed says he REALLY likes it, and he did well.
